Your power is in your responses to your actions and their results, Ep 65
Friday May 15, 2020
Friday May 15, 2020
In this week's episode, we talk about how me smashing my face on the ocean floor we humbling, painful, and led me into quite the depression over my physical state and the pain I was in.
A circumstance last but a short time. An accident can take 1 second to unfold. The aftermath from the circumstance or accident is where the power in ourselves can come to bare. An event might take a few hours from start to finish. An accident take a second to occur and possibly a lifetime to heal from.
There is so much uncertainty in the world. Substantially more than there is of certainty. All this "new normal" BS people keep talking about - what was normal to begin with.
I go off the rails many times and bring it back to the central thesis of this episode - that the power you seek is already inside of you, no matter what the circumstance. The power is always in your hands.
Keep it. Hold on to it. Use it. Because your responses to the aftermath is much more important than you possible realize. Well, at least until you listen to this episode :)

Healthy ways to process grief w/Sue Mandell, Ep #63
Tuesday Apr 28, 2020
Tuesday Apr 28, 2020
In this week's episode we dive into the processes for dealing with grief with master-coach Sue Mandell. We will converse on how grief anchors into our bodies, into our minds - and shows itself in our thoughts, feelings, action, and results.
The one thing we all have in common as humans is that we all have experienced suffering - even the most rich and elite know suffering, all be it, perhaps on a different level than those of us not considered wealthy and elite. I draw this comparison so we can all see one another on the same level and open our hearts to empathy and compassion toward everyone we come in contact.
Sue has over 30-years in sobriety and recovery and she brings that experience to us with love and an intense desire to share with you the things you has seen, experienced, and used on countless clients to help them move through grief, overcome the traumatic time capsules that lie in all of us - and to overcome them so we can live our best life and be our best selves.

Take massive action toward your impossible goals, Ep 62
Friday Apr 24, 2020
Friday Apr 24, 2020
In this episode we wrap up our three part series on limiting beliefs, setting impossible goals, taking massive action.
Massive action is taking the action that will lead you to the outcome you desire. It isn't preparing for the big event - it is participating in the big event. It is the actual doing and not the preparing for the doing.
When you take massive action you will know because it is in that action you will walk through the fear or apprehension that was inside of you and, on the other side, is where you will find your highest self.

Impossible goals and why you should set them, Ep #61
Thursday Apr 23, 2020
Thursday Apr 23, 2020
In this week's episode, we discuss how achieving goals you once thought were impossible will become possible when you release your limiting beliefs about yourself.
What one person finds possible another finds impossible, and vice-versa. It is not for anyone else to tell you what you can or can not achieve. If they tell you that you are capable of anything - you won't believe them anyway if you are anchored to your limiting beliefs about yourself.
Impossible goals are those that seem so far-flung that if you told your inner-circle they'd think you crazy. It's these "impossibilities" we have to perspective shift around so we can see that they are attainable if we hunker down, stay disciplined toward their fruition, and prioritize them when they are scheduled on the calendar.
Nothing is out of reach when you stretch your thinking out of its comfort zone.

Limiting beliefs about yourself are your worst enemy, Ep #60
Tuesday Apr 21, 2020
Tuesday Apr 21, 2020
In this week's episode we discuss limiting beliefs, why they are your worst enemy, what they are, how to find them in yourself, and what to do with them once they are discovered.
When you catch yourself saying, "I can't do that because," and the because is some external thing - then that is probably a limiting belief. Like almost always a limiting belief.
- The only thing that determines what you can do and accomplish is you.
- Letting something external determine your worth or your trajectory is a limiting belief.
- Limiting beliefs are the things we mistakenly hold as truths about ourselves.
- as they cement themselves into our minds and psyches they become the identity we cling to.
After you listen to this show I want you to sit down and write out where you have limiting beliefs about yourself in your Career, Self, and Relationships spheres. If you need help knowing what I mean by those three spheres go back and listen to episode 36.
These lists will become your fuel for setting impossible goals - which we will talk about in the next episode.

How to see, hear, and validate others during conversations
Tuesday Apr 14, 2020
Tuesday Apr 14, 2020
In this week's episode we get into how to be mindful of not minimizing other people's experiences when in conversation with them through equalizing. You want the other person sharing with you to feel seen, heard, and validated. If you spend the whole time trying to draw comparisons of what they have experienced to what you have experienced you risk minimizing what they are sharing with you.
I can not really walk a mile in your shoes. I can only understand so much about your life experiences. I can not bear witness to your life through your eyes. If I attempt to draw comparisons with what you have gone through by bridging my past and my experiences with yours - it can actually cut off a great line of communication and influence you to feel unheard, unseen, unvalued, and invalidated.
Communication has its challenges. We all have our own perspective, and through that window we see the world in the way it has been presented to us through our own eyes.
I can work on gaining perspective of your life, but I will never truly be able to duplicate what has formed the basis of your personality and existence - I will never be able to truly know what it is like to be you.
I can put a tremendous amount of effort into seeing, hearing, recognizing, and validating your life's experiences. I can open my mind to your view-points. I can humble myself, which is a key trait to possess when overcoming fear - so that we can build a bridge between your perspective and mine.
There are things I can do. There are behaviors I can have. There is a mindset that opens me up for growth in immeasurable ways - and this I dedicate myself toward. The light can be switched on. The illumination can begin when I put away my internal desire to equate my life to yours - because that can often stop the bridge from being built, rather than lead to its completion.

Behavior, Actions & Emotions w/ Dr. Terry Wager
Monday Apr 06, 2020
Monday Apr 06, 2020
In this week's episode we are going to dive into emotions and behaviors and how to understand the difference between the two - because we can often mistake an emotion for an action or behavior and vice-versa.
Dr. Wager (pronounced like you were going to place a bet) and I will converse on how identifying your emotions will lead to better emotional balance. When you can identify what emotion you are experiencing you can better understand how to deal with it, bring it under control, and use that knowledge to balance yourself no matter the situation.
Lastly, we will discuss conscious communication over unconscious separation. This will be useful when you start having full on conversations in your head with someone you should actually be talking to. With our guidance, you will be able to move the thoughts in your head out into the real world so you can talk through them - rather than letting those thoughts run wild in your mind. Hint, "my head is saying this," is a great way to get the ball rolling.
Through this quarantine it will be integral for you to get out of protection mode and into connection mode so you can be harmonious with those you are cooped up around.

Energy - Empowered & Toward vs Disempowered & Away, Ep 57
Tuesday Mar 31, 2020
Tuesday Mar 31, 2020
In this weeks episode we discuss three of my favorite topics.
Toward vs Away Energy
Empowerment vs Disempowerment
Present State to Desired State
Utilizing these three practices in your day to day life will give you power over every situation that comes your way.
"Moving towards" people strive to achieve, create, enjoy the journey toward an outcome while "Moving away from" people want to avoid certain situations, pain, discomfort or unpleasantness.
Empowered people, like you, know you are only ever going to commit to your goals, outcomes, etc. if you believe you are able to achieve them and you do this by taking responsibility for you own life. Disempowered people, not you - unless you are, then let's figure that out - blame everything and everyone BUT themselves for their predicament and situation(s.)
Going from a Present State toward a Desired State takes place when you understand how your emotions are influenced by everything from your physical body, like posture and eye placement, to the environment around you and the music you listen to.
I hope this brings you toward of a state of empowerment as you negotiate the coronavirus quarantine and work out a new regimen and structure for yourself during this crisis.

Shift your mentality during the corona quarantine w/ Sue Mandell, Ep 56
Tuesday Mar 24, 2020
Tuesday Mar 24, 2020
In this week's episode we introduce Addiction Recovery Coach Sue Mandell, creator of the, "Choose your Habits, Choose your Life," program.
We will discuss curbing anxiety and stress through mindset shifts using pivoting, routine realignment, and so much more.
You can either see this quarantine as a way to move toward doing things you previously didn't prioritize or you can see this as an away energy where you choose scarcity mode and limited thinking to hold you back from seizing or even seeing the positives that can come from this. Make a list of things you want to do without outside activities and work interfering - and get to it. If you spend the next 1-2 months just watching TV for 12 hours a day you will be sorely missing out on a huge opportunity to better yourself during this crisis event.
Be safe, be love - be positive. And wash your hands ;)
