Tuesday Aug 31, 2021
Tuesday Aug 31, 2021
Ep 132 - September is "National Recovery Month" and with it comes the energy that recovery is belongs to ALL of us and that recovery, at its core, is about community and that inclusivity is a positive energy source rather than exclusivity.
From the SAMHAS website: The 2021 National Recovery Month theme, “Recovery is for Everyone: Every Person, Every Family, Every Community” reminds people in recovery and those who support them, that recovery belongs to all of us. We are all called to end gatekeeping and welcome everyone to recovery by lowering barriers to recovery support, creating inclusive spaces and programs, and broadening our understanding of what recovery means for people with different experiences.
Just hit play and lets dive into opening our minds, hearts, and energy to bring everyone into the fold - you are in the right place, at the right time...right now.
Stand up, step forward, raise your hand - it's your turn, I will call on you.

No two people experience you the same way
Tuesday Aug 24, 2021
Tuesday Aug 24, 2021
Ep 131 - You are a completely different person in everyone's mind. Your parents, family, partner, neighbor, co-workers, classmates, and so-on...everyone one of these people has a different version of you, in their head, than every other person whom has ever met you. This is not an accident. No two people can possibly experience you the same. Hell, you don't even experience yourself the way you used to experience yourself - especially when compared to yourself in active addiction vs sobriety and recovery.
This is so important to understand because this clears you to be yourself toward everyone you meet. You get to decide what people know about you. You can decide how much of your past you share and how deep you desire them to know about your future dreams.
You have no control over how they interpret your thoughts, feelings, actions, and behaviors. You have the freedom to be you (of course, being grateful, humble, and full of integrity - while NOT acting entitled) and to no longer mute yourself.
If you get confused as to how people don't see you for you - well then you are in the right place, at the right time...right now.
Stand up, step forward, raise your hand - it's your turn, I will call on you.

Self-sabotage is no longer a viable excuse for undesirable behavior
Tuesday Aug 17, 2021
Tuesday Aug 17, 2021
Ep 130 - Self-sabotage can be the go to excuse for the unmotivated to change. You have experience with self-sabotage in your own life. Once you journey your undesirable behaviors and habits from your unconscious mind into your conscious awareness you are no longer allowing yourself to use that "lazy" excuse as your way out of actionable change.
"I'm just immature," "I just always do it this way," "No one taught me better," - these are a couple excuses I hear from my clients and empowerment calls that signal to me that someone is using a crutch to justify why they are hobbling forward in their addiction recovery journey.
Once you know better it is your duty to do better. Excuses are reasons that can be avoided.
Don't hit play on this one if you want to keep living in your own filth. Don't hit play if you want to stay in your comfort zone in Excuse-ville.
Just hit play if you are absolutely ready to empower yourself and become your highest sense of self.
Stand up , step forward, raise your hand - I'll call on you, it's your turn.

You will choose to move beyond your limitation bubble
Tuesday Aug 10, 2021
Tuesday Aug 10, 2021
Ep 129 - Limiting beliefs, limiting decisions - your limiting stories are what you say to yourself and to others that corral your limitlessness and place you in your boundary box where you limit yourself and what you can achieve in your recovery and life.
That can sound like a lot to take in, a lot to envision, and even more to feel. From my perspective, life is not all that complicated when you break it down to it simplest layers. You can breakout of your limiting stories, you can achieve what you prioritize, you can choose to unplug from the white noise and distractions and seek from yourself that which is seeking you.
Just hit play and lets dive into this topic and so much more together, as the tribe we are, as we journey From Sobriety to Recovery.

Sacrificing tomorrow's growth for today's comfort
Tuesday Aug 03, 2021
Tuesday Aug 03, 2021
Ep 128 - Everyday in life we make choices. These choices, when seen from the our future perspective, accumulate into the life we create for ourselves. Our willingness to not push beyond our perceived strength, to stretch ourselves beyond what we think we are capable of - these actions earn us our results. These repeated behaviors become your habits and your habits are the foundation for your identity.
Is there a fire inside you to earn more money, have a more fulfilling career, healthier more communicative relationship, a deeply grounded and stable recovery system, a brighter view of yourself smiling back at you in the mirror?
Each day you choose to keep going about your life business as usual is another day that you are intentionally allowing your present self to sacrifice your tomorrow.
Just hit play and let's dive into this and more!
Stand up, step forward, raise your hand, it's your turn, I'll call on you!

Enjoying the little things and being childlike IS adulting 101
Tuesday Jul 27, 2021
Tuesday Jul 27, 2021
Ep 127 - A bonus episode for the week as my mind is just jumping all around and I have to get this out. When did life become a slog? Why on earth do people dampen the spark and flame others have for doing the little things that bring them joy?
There is so much to say about this episode but then that would make this description as long as the episode - so JUST HIT PLAY and let's dive into why Adulting 101 is being childlike, enjoying the little things, and celebrating the small stuff. No longer are we allowing other people's judgements about what should be considered adulting to effect our path, our energy - nor will their lack of empathy, excitement, or general interest in what we are doing be the stick we measure ourselves against.

The Space Between: The stimulus and Angry Reaction or Rational Response
Sunday Jul 25, 2021
Sunday Jul 25, 2021
Ep 126 - Getting triggered into an emotional state is something that happens hundreds and thousands of times per day. Some of these triggering circumstances are just moments in time that pass as easily as they came into your awareness. Others circumstances - well these are the ones that can forever alter your life. These are the ones that we seek to manage and work on in ourselves when they are small events so we are prepared and experienced when the larger, more monumental events occur that can send our lives down a path that is dark and gloomy.
Just hit play and let's discuss how you can create and elongate your space between the stimulus and your response - so you guide yourself toward behaving with your wise mind rather than succumbing to your reptilian, reactionary, shadow-self.

The Power of Fitness and Healthy Nutrition in Recovery
Tuesday Jul 20, 2021
Tuesday Jul 20, 2021
Ep 125 - Your physical health was probably compromised pretty severely during your active addiction. For many the body breaking down was the signal that rock bottom was approaching, perhaps even faster than you had imagined. The first year of your sobriety it is important that you do what ever you are able to do in order to get yourself heading in the right direction.
That first year it is crucial that you shift your idea of what it means to eat healthy and be active. How do you feel about exercising? Going to the gym? Walking after dinner? Breaking a sweat? Whatever you thought about these things throughout your life and addiction, it is time to evaluate these beliefs and opinions and work your way toward embracing an active lifestyle.
I have thousands of things to say around this topic and I cover way to many of them in this episode - but y'all are used to that.
Take control of your body, take control of your life - Just Hit Play and we'll discuss how you can begin your physical transformation journey right now, today.

Habituate honoring your word, promises, commitments, and decisions
Wednesday Jul 14, 2021
Wednesday Jul 14, 2021
Ep 124 - Are you impeccable with your word? When you commit to an event or to someone are you positive, barring a sudden bear attack, that you will show up on time and ready to be present and not staring at your phone or otherwise off in LALA Land? Being a person with an honorable word might not have been the reputation you cultivated during the height of your addiction.
As you journey from sobriety to recovery you have an amazing opportunity to prove to yourself and show others that you are an evolving and transformative human.
When you promise something, make a decision, commit, and so on you are putting your reputation up for yourself to judge. Notice I am not saying for others to judge or for you to prove yourself to others. You are honoring your word for yourself - it just so happens others gain a benefit too.
Just hit play and dive in deeper into how being impeccable with your word with create a version of yourself that you can look upon in the mirror with self-respect and self-worth. As a bonus, your unconscious mind gets to have a blast habituating your follow through and the unconscious loves confirming your biases. After all, it does it without you even having to think about it.

Altering the ingredients of your life - The Soup Metaphor
Tuesday Jul 06, 2021
Tuesday Jul 06, 2021
Ep 123 - I talk a lot about NLP, I mean, A LOT. I credit my personal growth and transformation, not just in sobriety and recovery but my whole life in general, on my steadfast focus and discipline of actively applying and evaluating NLP thinking, processes, techniques, and language patterns into my life.
This episode is my beautifully structured metaphor about how life is a huge pot of soup and NLP can guide you toward magnificent processes to alter your ingredients with substantially less push back from your unconscious mind.
Do I think everyone should learn NLP? Yes. Do I think you should learn NLP? Yes. Do I think you should learn NLP from Me? Yes AND Maybe.
If I am your guy then let's get you to it. If you think there is someone else out there for you then go get them on your team. No matter what, you should learn the basics of NLP at the very least.
This Soup Metaphor was created by me as I was eyeball deep in the creation of my "Wise Mind Empowerment and Leadership Experience." If you want to learn more about my self-paced online course email or DM me. If you want to discuss learning NLP - email or DM me.
It's your turn, raise your hand, step forward - I'll call on you.
If you want to keep standing on the sideline, that is okay too, everyone has their own journey. I encourage you to ask yourself what the hesitation is, why is there resistance? Only you know your answer - and that is debatable as well.
Just hit play and let's discuss how you can change the ingredients of your life!
